Auditions
Overview
In the past, open auditions for membership in the Uintah Basin Orchestra and Chorus have been held each Autumn for our orchestra, chorus, and children’s choir.
This season, we plan to leave auditions open indefinitely. We have big plans for the future, and that will require a bigger orchestra and chorus, so, if you would like to be a part of it all, please audition!
If preferred, special arrangements can be made for private in-person audition. If this is something that interests you, please contact Penni Batty at 435-630-8195.
Auditions Now Open
Auditions for the 2022-2023 season are now open and, as stated above, will remain so indefinitely. If you are interested in submitting an audition, please see audition guidelines below.
If you have already had a successful audition and participated in past UBOC performances, a second audition IS NOT REQUIRED at this time. Please contact Penni Batty at ubocsecretary@gmail.com or text 435-630-8195 for more information.
Orchestra
Potential orchestra members are to attach a recording of themselves playing a song of their choice (2 minutes or less in length) to the Google Survey audition form.

Chorus
Potential chorus members are to attach a recording of themselves singing a song of their choice (2 minutes or less in length) PLUS a recording of one verse of “America the Beautiful” sung without accompaniment to the Google Survey audition form.

Youth Chorus
Children’s choir auditions are not open at this time. More information will be coming soon.
Ages for Children’s Choir are 8 – 14 years old.
Children should be prepared to sing the chorus of “America the Beautiful” a capella (without accompaniment).
